All Kia vehicles sold in the United States contain parts that may be classified as HazMat. These parts include new or used service parts (including air bag inflators, seat belt pretensioners, Lithium-ion batteries, among others), as well as contaminated parts (any part that has conducted or contained liquid fuel, such as fuel pumps, lines, or tanks, among others).
Every dealership team member who receives, packs, ships, or otherwise handles HazMat may be required by law to complete HazMat training within 90 days of beginning that function and every 3 years thereafter.
If you are already certified with Safety Regulation Strategies, Inc., we can guide you through this process.
